Our Story

Denice's Story 

My journey of cake decorating started with me taking a class to learn to decorate the cakes I made for my "furry children."  Little did I know that God had a gift and passion waiting on me that I didn't know was in me.  God has a way of using things that are important to us to get us where HE wants us to be.  I am so thankful for that and excited for the journey HE is taking me on!

Cherryl's Story

My journey with Tiers of Sweetness began while I was working at the Department of Conservation.  After retiring with 39 years, I began working full time just to help my sister.  John Maxwell told the story of a man who did the same for him.  He believed in John Maxwell and wanted to be a part of what he was doing.  He spent every off day running errands for him so that he could do what he does best.  I believed in Denice and wanted to do the same for her.  Little did I know that it would bring out a passion inside of me as well!

Tiers of Sweetness believes that it is about more than just creating cakes.  It is the honor of being a part of special moments and celebrations in the lives of others.  Our relationship with God and how we treat others is most important to us.  God created each of us with a specific purpose and gifts.  As we go through each day using our gifts HE has given us, we strive to keep HIM in the right order in our lives and follow HIS plan for us.
